WASP  
Glass Mountain Optics is the premier manufacturer and developer of Flat Panel Single Eye Point Display Systems for use in Single Seat Combat Air Craft.
 
•Patterned after the Mobile Modular Display for Advanced Research and Training (M2DART) Glass Mountain Optics has been constantly refining the manufacturing and tuning the design to offer value and performance for it's Combat Display system.

WASP
WASP or Wide Angle Single Eyepoint Combat Dome offers state of the art display technology for the best presentation of virtual reality for Fighter Pilot Simulations.
   

Design improvements include multiple aircraft specific configurations, increased screen and projector performance, and reduced maintenance requirements.
 

The first WASP system was developed specifically for the unusually large F-35 / Joint Strike Fighter. As a large cockpit, this represented several challenges to accommodate not only the cockpit, but an observer/instructor along side the cockpit during operation. Future WASP designs were based on new aircraft types and include custom Field of View (FOV) configurations.

The WASP currently is configured in two sizes for different size cockpit configurations. Please contact us for more specific information on your specific requirements.

 
Currently 24 WASP systems have been delivered to date.

All WASP display systems use the Barco Split Pack series of Projector systems. These projectors are suitable for night and NVG operations and offer very high native resolution. All the problems with LCD and DLP are eliminated with the industry leader BARCO.

Glass Mountain Optics has been in business now for more than 19 years. From their inception they have serviced the Simulation and Training Community with fantastic products. The engineering is first class and they are continuously making refinements in their design. The newest product in their family is the WASP. WASP is an off shoot of the M2DART product from Human Resource Labs in Mesa Arizona.
